SI3000 iCS
The SI3000 integrated call server (iCS) is an excellent platform for building telecommunications and data networks.
iCS has integrated functionalities of call processing, media gateway, access node and an advanced services platform.
iCS is based on the field-proven MLC platform with a huge, multi-million subscriber base in various countries.
The hardware platform consists of a single or double processing unit (cold stand-by) with VoIP DSPs, access modules with analog or digital periphery and analog, digital or VoIP network connections.
iCS has four possible packagings: 24 slot for installation in ETSI rack, 12 slot for wall-mounted construction, 12 slot for installation in ETSI and 19” rack and 1U “pizza box” packaging.
Because of the wide spectrum of integrated functionalities iCS is an ideal product for the evolution of traditional TDM networks to a NGN. iCS can be used in many different roles:
TDM and IP switching:
- The integrated functionality of call processing enables all classical and converged services. Support for all different TDM signaling (SS7, CAS, DSS1, QSIG and V5.2) and VoIP signaling (SIP-T, SIP-NNI, H.323) enables the interconnection of iCS in all levels of the network, traditional TDM and new NGN packet public networks and private networks.
Universal access:
- The integrated functionality of the access node enables the interconnection of different types of subscribers from analog, ISDN BRA and PRA, subscribers on other access nodes through the V5.2 protocol or SIP protocol and VoIP subscribers
Advanced services:
- The integrated functionality of the service platform enables the deployment of different advanced services through standard open protocols like VXML, CSTA and ParlayX (server needed).
Centrex:
- With packet connectivity directly from enterprises to service providers, a Centrex solution becomes even more powerful and attractive as a managed service by service providers. All the variants of a Centrex solution can be deployed with the iCS.
Lawful interception:
- Within the iCS solution the LI functionality can be applied to all types of TDM and packet subscribers.
The convergence of voice and data services is a reality. Integrated solutions have emerged to ease the transition toward NGNs. With the iCS, integrated NGN-solution service providers can:
